The Watsonville Police Department locked down Pajaro Valley High school on Wednesday. at about 2:30 p-m the DECISION was made to close the campus as a safety precaution while authorities searched for a man who was thought to be evading officers by swimming across Harkin Slough. The individual was at 1st thought to be an escapee from the nearby sheriff’s detention center, however all inmates have been accounted for. officers eventually detained the swimmer, after an interview the man was released with no charges filed.
