Kaiser Permanente has confirmed its considering a Live Oak site for a new medical office building in Santa Cruz. The 150,000-square-foot facility would be built at 5940 Soquel Ave. and include a 700-space parking facility.
Santa Cruz County Commissioner John Leopold said traffic could be an issue for the new location, which still faces many layers of approval before construction begins. The goal is to have the building open in 2023. Kaiser already has smaller offices in Watsonville, Scotts Valley, and downtown Santa Cruz.
