Police in Watsonville say a man they already had in jail has confessed to attempting to burgularize a bank there. 34-year-old Luis Arredondo was arrested December 15th and charged with vandalizing a car on Pacific Boulevard.
Earlier that same day, an unknown man broke into a bank on the corner of Main Street and Auto Center Drive. Police used surveillance video from the bank to connect Arredondo to the later crime, to which the suspect confessed.
Arredondo was rearrested and charged with felony bank burglary even though no money was taken.
