Here are the official details about today’s memorial, provided by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office:
The Memorial Service for Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller will be held at 10 a.m. at the Cabrillo College Football Field.
There will be limited seating for the public due to the venue size and COVID-19 restrictions. Due to COVID-19 masks are required.
Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. Gates will open for seating at 9 a.m. Some areas of the event are not open to the general public, therefore please ensure early arrival for to be seated on time
The public is asked to park in Parking Lot K above the football field. Overflow parking will be available in the Parking Garage on Perimeter Rd. There is limited parking, so we are asking people to carpool.
Backpacks and oversized bags will not be allowed into the venue.
Streaming and Broadcast
We encourage the public, if possible, to watch via the live stream options due to limited seating and space.
There will be at least two TV stations streaming the service, KION and KSBW. We will be streaming the service on our Facebook and YouTube pages. KSCO Radio will also broadcast the service on their 1080AM and 104.1FM radio stations.
Procession
There is also the option to honor Sgt. Gutzwiller during the procession that will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
