Santa Cruz City officials are considering new restrictions on the size of vehicles that can park along Olive Street between Toledo and Mission Streets.
Neighbors are concerned the block has become home to several RVs that park overnight. The RV residents see the city’s proposal as a way to chase them out of the area.
The nearly 500 residents who have signed a petition said RV camping has brought trash, noise and drug use to their neighborhood.
The plan will be considered in August and requires city council approval.
