The Monterey County SPCA is asking for the public’s assistance in coming up with a new name for the dog breed known simply as the “terrier mix.” Those interested in submitting a name can do so by emailing it to info@SPCAmc.org or by posting it to the Monterey County SPCA’s Facebook page. Terrier mix dogs are about 15 lbs., come in a variety of colors, and make wonderful family pets. Around 260 terrier mix dogs have arrived at the Monterey County SPCA this year, with only 17 people requesting that type of breed. It is hoped that a new name will help to give these dogs greater popularity.
