The San Lorenzo Valley Water District Board of Directors appointed a new member on June 21. John Hayes is the appointment and he will serve through the term. Hayes fills a vacancy left by Eric Hammer, who resigned on May 23 and cited personal health issues as the reason. His seat is set for election in the fall, when voters will determine who will fill the seat for the next four years.
