Monterey County could see a short-term solution to its rental enforcement issues. Last week, the county’s Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed to develop an interim plan to address problems with short-term vacation rentals. Issues include an increase of vehicles parking in neighborhoods, complaints about loud parties and trespassing on adjacent properties. A draft of the temporary plan is expected to come in front of the board on July 17.
For years, the board has worked on an ordinance that would address the issue for years but have not passed an ordinance because of several reasons.
