SCPD Arrests Burglary Suspect 05-13-20 17:48 DC

From the Santa Cruz PD Facebook Page:

“While you were sleeping, 32-year-old Kyle Rouston, on pretrial release for burglary, was prowling around the neighborhood on Goss Avenue checking car door handles.

“When patrolling officers confronted him and another subject, the suspects fled on foot. Using fast cops and a good perimeter, officers located Kyle Rouston hiding in a yard in the 100 block of Carrol Street. Mr. Rouston was caught and in his possession was a lock-pick set. The other subject got away.

“This was not Kyle Rouston’s first brush with the law. He was on pretrial release for a previous burglary case when SCPD arrested him again last night. Rouston was booked into jail for conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of burglary tools, loitering on private property, and fleeing to resist arrest.”
