Santa Cruz police are investigating an attempted homicide. Shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday morning patrol units responded to the 600 block of Riverside Drive to reports of gunfire. At the scene officers located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The 26 year old victim was air lifted to a bay area trauma center in critical condition but is expected to survive. Detectives are calling the shooting gang related. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Santa Cruz police.
