A volunteer clean up effort took place in Prunedale on Saturday. The event was organized on social media by Monterey county parks volunteers concerned by roadside trash throughout the community. Monterey County and the Health Department provided vests, pick up sticks, and bags to about 2 dozen volunteers. The effort removed approximately a half ton of debris from the area.
