Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man suspected of a knife assault in Felton on Saturday. Patrol units responded to Highway 9 and Graham Hill Road to reports of a stabbing. At the scene officers located a victim with wounds to the neck. Witness accounts led to the arrest of Freddie Vargas on related charges. Vargas was booked into county jail, the victim was treated for non life threatening injuries and released.
