Although state park officials had hoped to have the Pfeiffer Canyon Footpath open to the public later this week, that’s not going to happen….yet. They say they need a shuttle program in place first….and places for visitors to park. Until those are worked out, the footpath will only be open to residents and workers who need to access the cut-off part of Big Sur (south of Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge, and north of the big slide on Highway 1).
