A santa cruz advisory group is set to meet tomorrow(wed) afternoon, to discuss alternatives to traditional pesticide use in santa cruz county. The santa cruz county integrated pest management departmental advisory group is scheduled to meet at the simpkins family swim center at 1:30 p.m. The group will report on pesticide use in santa cruz county throughout 2010, as well as discuss a trial of a new, alternative pesticide. Since the year 2000, the advisory group has been working to identify safer pest-management strategies on all santa cruz county property.
