The County Clerk and Registrar of Voters for Santa Cruz County, Gail Pellerin, today (Thursday) announced her plan to retire at the end of the year. That is after a career of more than 30 years in public service.
Pellerin has held the position since her appointment in 2004. She had previously served as the county’s election manager for 11 years.
Most recently Pellerin oversaw the 2020 general election in Santa Cruz County with more than 83% turnout.
She was elected for her fourth term in 2018. Her last day is slated for December 31, 2020.
