(08:14) CASTROVILLE – A Watsonville man was arrested in Castroville for weapons violations on Saturday. The incident occurred when a patrol unit spotted a car driving erratically on Castroville Boulevard near Collins Road shortly before 3 p.m. Deputies pulled over the vehicle, being driven by 27-year-old Eduardo Garcia Vanegas. Deputies determined that Vanegas had six active arrest warrants. A search of his vehicle recovered marijuana and a loaded assault weapon. Deputies also found stolen property from a burglary in Moss Landing. Vanegas was apprehended and booked into Monterey County Jail. (S.G.)
