(10:47) SALINAS – Salinas city officials have appointed a new deputy librarian for the Library and Community Services Department. Eric Howard currently serves as the Assistant Director for the City of Palo Alto Library system. He previously worked as a manager for the Queens Public Library System in New York City. Howard will begin his new position on November 9. (S.G.)
