(17:45) SALINAS- Salinas police are investigating a fatal shooting. Authorities say that shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday night patrol units responded to reports of a shooting on the 2 thousand block of Santa Rita Street. At the scene officers located an individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting is believed to be gang related. It was Salinas’ 33rd homicide of the year.
