(10:20) Santa Cruz County – Santa Cruz County has posted signs prohibiting contact with the water in Pinto Lake. The lake currently has a harmful blue-green algae growing in it. The problem began because of fertilizer runoff and leaky septic systems. Beginning in 2017 the city will make efforts to trap the nutrients that are feeding the algae.
