Two 6-year-olds were flown to hospitals with serious injuries resulting from a head-on accident that closed Highway 1 in Moss Landing last night around 6:30. A total of nine patients were taken to hospitals from the scene located between Jensen and Springfield Roads on Highway 1.
CHP says the driver of a Honda Pilot was traveling north on Highway 1 when for some reason the vehicle drifted into the southbound lane and collided with a Chrysler Pacifica. No arrests have been made and the CHP does not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
