The Monterey County Community Emergency Response Team held a practice rescue drill on Saturday. Over 60 first responders, from multiple agencies took part in the exercise to locate and rescue two mock swimmers in distress. The drill included air surveillance, coordinated with land and sea going rescue units. The CERT training is designed to keep all the of agencies well versed for the several times a year they are called on to rescue divers or fishermen.
