(8:28) SANTA CRUZ- Santa Cruz police arrested a man after a random attack on Friday. Authorities say that shortly before 1 p.m. 28 year Landon Horseman attacked a 23 year old woman in front of a coffee shop on the 1500 block of Pacific Avenue. Horseman struck the victim on the head and shoulder with a golf club, using so much force the club broke. Witnesses called police and followed the assailant until he was taken into custody at gunpoint. Horseman, a self described transient from Washington had no prior contact with the victim who is visiting from Oxnard. The victim is expected to recover. Horseman was booked into county jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
