(11:55) Live Oak – A man was arrested last night in Santa Cruz after he crashed his pickup truck and fled the scene. Officers located the driver, 35 year-old Austin Clary, at his home on Capitola Road, near 7th Avenue. The home was surrounded by a Santa Cruz police BearCat armored vehicle, a CHP helicopter, a Sheriff’s K9 unit, and more than half a dozen officers, after Clary told officers he was going to retrieve a gun from inside the home. After an hour standoff Clary was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on charges of DUI, hit-and-run, battery against a peace officer, and making criminal threats.
