The preliminary hearing for former King City police chief Nick Baldiviez was delayed on Friday. The hearing was in the process of examining DMV document evidence to determine whether forms, turning over ownership of a city vehicle to a patrol officer, were signed by the former chief or are forgeries as Baldiviez claims. A handwriting expert testified that he will need to make more comparisons to make a conclusive determination. The hearing is set to resume November 6th.
