Pacific Grove Native Wins Lawsuit Against Toyota- 10/19/14 21:00 P.M.D.

A jury has ruled in favor of a former Pacific Grove High School student. Chelsea Hill’s lawsuit against Toyota alleged that her paralysis, sustained while being a passenger during a 2010 drunk driving accident, was the fault of the automaker, due to inadequate seat belts. The jury agreed and found Toyota to be 90 percent responsible for hill’s injury and awarded her a total of $12 million for medical expenses, lost wages, as well as pain and suffering.
