(10:20) SALINAS- A Salinas man was arrested for multiple felony charges Friday evening. At about 7:15 p.m. patrol units responded to reports of a man screaming and running in traffic on North Main Street near Bernal Drive. On scene police found 28 year old Jose Velasco battering his mother against the pavement of northbound North Main Street. As officers pulled Velasco off of his mother he became combative and continued to resist despite two tasings. Five officers eventually subdued the suspect. Velasco was transported to Natividad Medical Center where he was chemically restrained before being booked into county jail.
