(8:59)- WATSONVILLE- A Watsonville man has been arrested for an alleged assault. Police say that shortly before 6 p.m. Friday two men got into a verbal altercation on the 100 block of Pelican Drive. 25 year old Enrique Avalos then left the scene, returning minutes later with metal knuckles and assaulted the victim while yelling gang slogans. He then fled the scene. An investigation led to the apprehension of Avalos shortly before 9 p.m. near Vic Rugh Lane and Gardner Avenue. Avalos was booked into county jail in lieu of 25,00 dollars bail.
