(17:28) SANTA CRUZ- Santa Cruz police are on the look out for an armed carjacker. Authorities say that shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, patrol units responded to a report of a carjacking on the 100 block of Baldwin Street, where a man armed with an assault rifle confronted the victim in front of his home demanding keys to a 2015 Lexus. The assailant made off with the vehicle, while police activated the cars satellite tracking system. After a series of pursuits officials decided to monitor the vehicle’s location overnight. The stolen Lexus was recovered in San Mateo county Friday morning the carjacker remains at large.
