(08:04) SALINAS – The community is invited to attend a Gang Prevention Summit in Salinas on Saturday. The summit has been organized in the wake of a record 40 gang-related homicides in 2015. The free event will feature former gang members sharing their stories. Other speakers will discuss how parents, teachers, and youth can break the cycle of violence. The summit will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Clubhouse on Maryal Drive. (S.G.)
