(11:00) Central Coast – The Relay For Life cancer fundraiser in Salinas will kickoff their 2017 campaign this Saturday. The party will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Northridge Mall Grand Court. Teams will have an opportunity to register, learn about the event and participate in a scavenger hunt. According to. the American Cancer Society, Relay For Life is the organization’s signature fundraiser, held annually in more than 5,000 communities and 20 countries. The event serves to remember ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help fight the disease. The 2017 event will be held on May 19th through the 20th, at the Salinas Sports Complex softball fields, at 1160 North Main Street.
