An amber alert issued this afternoon has been cancelled; the baby has been found safe. The 1-month-old girl was in the back seat of a car that was stolen in morgan hill, at 2:45. the car was reported by a motorist driving on highway-68, in Salinas, just after 5 p.m. the vehicle was found abandoned near toro county park. The infant was reportedly uninjured, and was taken to natividad medical center to be examined. Authorities are searching the area for the suspect, who is believed to have fled on foot.
