(07:55) SANTA CRUZ – Six churches in Santa Cruz have been vandalized in the past week. Officials say blue paint has been smeared on the front entrances of Holy Cross, Calvary Episcopal, Bayside Baptist, Vintage Faith, Messiah Lutheran and Peace United churches. Surveillance footage from Holy Cross captured an individual walking up and down the stairs of the church Sunday morning. Santa Cruz police are asking the public for any additional surveillance footage that could help with their investigation. All incidents have been classified as hate crimes. (S.G.)
