Enhanced unemployment is scheduled to stop at the end of the month. Currently unemployment benefits are enhanced under the CARES act which adds an additional 600 dollars per week to the benefits. If U.S. lawmakers do not approve to extend covid19 relief the benefits will return to 450 dollars. Nearly 300 thousand Californians are applying for unemployment on a weekly basis.
