(20:40) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Santa Cruz county supervisors have provisionally approved the county’s first local licensing system for growers of medical marijuana. Under the new rules, growers can apply for 2 different types of licenses. Each type of license comes with various limitations, including no commercial cultivation: within 600 feet of a home, public right-of-way, school, park, a perennial stream, or a city or county border. The grows can also not be visible from an adjacent public right-of-way. Supervisors are expected to formally approve the new rules soon.
