Caltrans announces some good news about blocked roads being re-opened this evening. Highway 35 between gist road and black road is open and clear after emergency tree removal. Crews removed a 150-foot Douglas fir that fell down across the roadway. They had to use a crane to pull the tree out. Meanwhile… highway one in Big Sur is also re-opened. The stretch around mud creek and paul’s slide opened around 10-this morning.
