The suspect in a 2009 Santa Cruz murder is behind bars this evening. The Santa Cruz D A announced today that Ivan Tapia Ramierez was arrested in mexico earlier this week for the murder of 16-year-old Tyler Tenorio in October 2009.
Tenorio, then a student at santa cruz high was outside the 7-11 store downtown when he and his friends got into a fight with a group of gang members. Tenorio was stabbed several times in the upper torso.
The f-b-i, Interpol and Mexican authorities were able to track down Ramierz ten years later… he is charged with murder and awaiting arraignment.
