(16:01) SANTA CRUZ- The Santa Cruz Police Department arrested a suspect from a July shooting that occurred in the 1600 block of Mission Street. An investigation identified, 25 year old Jose Alonso Reyes as the alleged shooter. On Tuesday, Reyes was apprehended at his workplace on the 800 block of Almar Avenue. The gun believed to be used in the shooting was found in Reyes’ possession at the time of his arrest. He was booked into jail for assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of loaded firearm,and participating in a criminal street gang.
