Authorities in monterey county made 8-arrests last night, during a coordinated operation that targeted gang members on parole or probation. 55-officers from multiple law enforcement agencies participated in the sweep, which is part of the on-going “4-cities for peace” operation. The Wednesday sweep targeted violators in 3 of those cities, soledad, Greenfield, and king city. (Gonzales is the 4th city participating in the effort.) of the 8-arrests, 1 was for possession of drugs and weapons, while the other arrests were for violation of terms of probation or parole.
