A Watsonville robbery suspect has been arrested in the Bay Area. 26-year-old Elben Ramos allegedly went to a pharmacy on Freedom Boulevard, jumped over the counter, and filled a bag with controlled substances Saturday morning.
Police said Ramos left the area in his car, but a witness got his license plate number.
Within 24 hours of the robbery, an Oakland resident reported a suspicious vehicle, and police found Ramos sleeping inside. Officers said they found a pharmacy-sized container of a controlled substance in the vehicle.
Ramos was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on robbery charges.
