The city of Watsonville will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the first public electric vehicle charging station in the city this week. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday in front of Romo Park at 3:30 pm. Watsonville will be joining a regional network funded by a grant from the Monterey Bay Area Governments. This charging station is one of several being installed in the tri-county area using grants from the Monterey Bay Area Governments, as part of a larger project involving the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.
