he Watsonville Police Department has received grants to enhance roadway safety. The department released a statement on Friday say the grants will be used to increase road, bicycle and pedestrian safety. The monies, totaling 112 thousand dollars are from the California Office of Traffic Safety. Police say that some of the money will be used for bicyle and pedestrian education and the rest will be used for DUI and cellphone violation enforcement.
