Watsonville Men’s Strawberry legal Battle 05/05/2017 15:44 rlm

Two retired scientists who are also Watsonville businessmen are in a legal battle with the university of California Davis.  They are accused of stealing intellectual property from when they worked at the school researching how to develop better strawberries.   The men, owners of California Berry Cultivars, in Watsonville have filed a $45 million lawsuit of their own.  They claim the university is preventing consumers from having the fruit of their work, better strawberries. The case is set to go to trial later this month.
