A Watsonville man wanted on several felony warrants was arrested yesterday. Officials say members of the Anti-Crime Team Gang Task Force stopped a vehicle with expired registration tabs at Riverside Drive and Walker Street around 4 p.m. The driver gave a false name and identification. Officers soon identified the man as 39-year-old Omar Diaz and found he had felony warrants for assault and battery. A search of the vehicle recovered a loaded gun and ammunition. He was booked into county jail.
