the watsonville man who died in a crash sunday morning has been identified. ernesto mendoza was traveling eastbound on hall road when his vehicle veered off the roadway and rolled several times before hitting a pine tree. the cause of the crash is still under investigation, police say it does not appear that mendoza had been drinking.
