A 28-year-old wanted man turned himself in to santa cruz county authorities this week. Justin paul Gorman is suspected of multiple cases of identity theft. He had evaded authorities several times, (most recently on Sunday), when he was pursued from santa cruz’s west cliff drive onto northbound highway-1. he escaped into the forest near laguna road. After sheriff’s detectives received a tip that included gorman’s cell phone number, they called him, and persuaded him to surrender. Gorman did so at 7:30 p.m. tuesday, at the santa cruz county superior court building on ocean street. he was booked into santa cruz county jail.
