The Woman’s Alliance For Medical Marijuana, which has been closed since January 1st, is hoping to re-open in Santa Cruz in a few months. That said, it won’t be able (anymore) to operate as a member-owned, co-op….because that style of business model is set to become illegal in January, as older regulations phase out. For the first time WAMM owners (Valerie and Mike Corral) say they plan to split the business into a For-Profit Recreational Retailer, and a Compassionate Care portion…..in much the same way that the Santa Cruz Veterans Alliance operates.
