Valley Churches United, a non-profit food pantry located in Ben Lomond, is preparing to distribute Thanksgiving to about 300 families in the San Lorenzo Valley. Executive Director Lynn Robinson says that if you drive by their headquarters on Sunday the 18th you may see a long line wait for their food.
Valley Churches relies on community donations to support its year-round programs. Robinson says many people have received their annual fundraising letter and she urges them to respond soon. Donations are also taken at their holiday gift shop, 9400 Highway 9 in Ben Lomond, or online at V-C-U-M-dot-ORG.
