(Updated at 06:51) – A teenager has been arrested in connection with a recent hit-and-run crash in Aptos that left one woman critically injured. The incident occurred earlier this month on Treasure Island Avenue near Rio Del Mar Beach. Officials say 25-year-old Nicole Brown was walking with a friend when a vehicle drove up onto the sidewalk and hit her. Brown remains hospitalized in serious condition, but is responsive. Investigators identified the suspected driver as 17-year-old Trevor Maddy. On Tuesday, CHP found Maddy sitting on a park bench on Creek Drive in Aptos. He was apprehended and taken into custody. (17:18) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A driver, wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash in Aptos, has been identified. 17-year-old Aptos resident Trevor Maddy is believed to have been at the wheel of the car that hit 25-year-old Nicole Brown. Brown, who was seriously injured in the June 13th incident in Rio Del Mar, has reportedly regained consciousness, but may be paralyzed for the rest of her life. Anyone with information on Maddy’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department or the CHP.
