(Updated at 05:56) – Police have identified a man who died following a solo car crash in Salinas last week. Officials say 44-year-old Armando Vega Vasquez was driving recklessly on North Sanborn Road on Thursday when he struck another vehicle. He drove away from the scene of the collision and continued down Laurel Extension at a high rate of speed. Vasquez then lost control of his vehicle and struck a retaining wall at Natividad Medical Center. He later died from the injuries he sustained in the collision. (S.G.)
(Posted January 22 at 07:30) – Salinas police are investigating a deadly car crash. A car crashed into the Natividad Medical Center concrete sign late Thursday night at the intersection of Constitution Boulevard and Laurel Drive. One person was reported dead by the Salinas police. (C.G.)
