UC Regents Considering Plan for Tuition Hikes- 11/7/14 7:00 S.G.

The regents of the University of California are considering a plan to increase tuition over the next five years. Under the plan, the cost of an education at any of the ten UC campuses would increase as much as 5 percent each year. The average annual cost for students would reach over $15,500 in fall 2019. UC officials say the tuition hikes would help pay for improving student services as well as hiring more faculty and teaching assistants. The Board of Regents will consider the plan during a meeting on November 19th.
